HONOR Robot Phone Set for India Debut With 200MP Gimbal Camera and 7,000mAh Battery
HONOR Robot Phone is expected to launch in India later in 2026 with a 200MP gimbal camera, 7,000mAh battery, 120W charging and a reported Rs. 99,990 starting price, alongside Easy EMI options.
The HONOR Robot Phone introduces an unconventional smartphone concept centred on a motorised camera arm, combining innovative hardware, AI capabilities and advanced technology. The camera system is designed around a four-degree-of-motion mechanical gimbal powered by what HONOR describes as its smallest micro motor yet.
The motorised arm can automatically track subjects and maintain stability during handheld video recording. It can also rotate to create different shooting angles through the AI Spinshot feature and tilt during video calls to keep every participant within the frame. The camera arm can additionally respond to music by moving in time with the beat.
The phone is expected to feature a 6.71-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1256x2808 resolution, protected by Giant Rhino Glass. It is expected to use a flagship-grade octa-core Snapdragon platform and offer 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage.
For photography, the HONOR Robot Phone is expected to carry a 200MP main rear sensor paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens mounted on the motorised gimbal. A 50MP front camera is also expected.
The device is expected to pack a 7,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging and wireless charging support. It is also expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and run Android 16 with MagicOS.
Beyond the motorised camera system, the phone is expected to use AI for everyday photography. Object tracking is designed to improve action shots, while wide-angle group photography is intended to allow users to capture larger groups without requiring participants to repeatedly adjust their positions.
The 7,000mAh battery and 120W charging support are also positioned for users who create and consume substantial amounts of content. HONOR's wider portfolio includes its existing range of mobile phones available through current retail channels.
The HONOR Robot Phone is expected to enter the higher flagship price band because of its unusual hardware and camera system. Current reports suggest a starting price of around Rs. 99,990, although the figure remains unconfirmed until HONOR confirms Indian availability.
The expected price is:
HONOR Robot Phone: From around Rs. 99,990.
Prices may change based on availability, offers and location. Buyers are advised to check the latest price before purchasing.
Consumers planning to purchase the HONOR Robot Phone can also consider Bajaj Finance's Easy EMI Loan. The loan offer amount can go up to Rs. 5 lakh, with repayment tenures ranging from 3 to 60 months. The facility is available through a network of more than 1.5 lakh partner stores across India.
Once the phone reaches Indian stores, buyers using Bajaj Finance Easy EMIs can look forward to zero down payment on select models, Easy EMI Loan options starting from Rs. 830, flexible repayment tenures between 3 and 60 months, and discounts of up to 60% on the price of select phones.
The purchase process is expected to involve selecting the HONOR Robot Phone at a Bajaj Finance partner store, checking Easy EMI Loan eligibility, choosing a repayment tenure between 3 and 60 months, providing the required KYC details for verification, accepting the loan offer amount and taking the phone home on the same day.
The HONOR Robot Phone represents a significant departure from conventional smartphone design, with a camera system capable of moving, tracking subjects and responding to its surroundings. Its expected Indian launch, pricing and availability will determine when consumers can access the device, while Bajaj Finance Easy EMI options could provide buyers with a way to manage the purchase cost once those details are confirmed.
